The Quick Answer
The MacBook Air M2 came in two sizes, the 13-inch (A2681, 2022) and the 15-inch (A2941, 2023), both running the Apple M2 chip with a fanless design and MagSafe 3 charging. MacTech Pro repairs all of it in Dubai: battery, Liquid Retina screen, MagSafe board, USB-C ports, keyboard and logic board, all at component level. Because the storage is soldered to the M2, a board repair keeps your data. Free diagnosis, screens in ready stock, written warranty.

The MacBook Air M2 was Apple's flat-edge redesign: thinner, with MagSafe charging back, a 1080p camera and a fanless body. The 13-inch arrived in 2022 (A2681) and the larger 15-inch followed in 2023 (A2941). Both use the same Liquid Retina display technology and the same M2 chip, so they repair the same way, only the size of the panel and battery differs.
Being fanless, the Air relies on passive cooling, so under long, heavy workloads (and in Dubai's heat) it can run warm and throttle, that's normal, not a fault. The repairs we see most are battery, screen, the MagSafe charging board, USB-C ports, keyboard and the logic board. We diagnose the real fault first and repair at component level, keeping your soldered storage and data intact wherever possible.

13-inch vs 15-inch, and the fanless point
The 13-inch (A2681) and 15-inch (A2941) Air M2 are the same machine in two sizes. The 15-inch simply has a larger screen, a larger battery and bigger speakers, so we use the correct part for your size. Both are fanless, which keeps them silent but means heat is handled by the chassis alone; if yours runs hot under load that's expected, but heat-related shutdowns or throttling at light use are worth a free check. Why bring it to MacTech Pro
- We repair the board at component level, not just swap it. On the M2, a single failed component is usually the whole fault. Repairing that part is cheaper than a board swap and keeps your storage and data, which are soldered to the chip.
- Free, honest diagnosis and a fixed price first. You see the real fault and the real cost before any work. No fix, no fee.
- M2 screens and parts in ready stock. Many repairs are done same-day, no waiting weeks for a part. Screens are refitted with original adhesive for a factory-clean seal.
- Work done by Dan's in-house lab. Power-rail diagnosis and micro-soldering on Apple Silicon, with 380+ reviews behind the shop.
- Free pickup and delivery across Dubai, secure courier UAE-wide, and a written warranty on the repair.

MacBook Air M2 — frequently asked questions
Yes, the Air M2 has no fan and cools through the chassis. Running warm under heavy load is normal. Persistent overheating, throttling at light use, or heat-related shutdowns aren't, and are worth a free check.
Yes, both. The battery is glued in and we remove it safely, fit a genuine-grade cell and recalibrate. If a swollen battery has lifted the trackpad and stopped it clicking, a new battery usually restores the click.
Either is possible. The Air M2 charges through MagSafe 3 and USB-C, so we test the whole path. If it's the MagSafe board or a USB-C port, that's a focused repair; if the charging circuit on the board has failed, swapping the port wouldn't help. The free diagnosis tells us which.
Yes, we keep M2 screens in ready stock for both the 13-inch and 15-inch Air, so many screen repairs are done the same day, refitted with original adhesive for a clean seal.
For screen, battery and port repairs, no, your storage isn't touched. For board or liquid jobs we prioritise data, and because storage is soldered to the M2, a component-level repair keeps it intact wherever possible.
