Original Apple MacBook chargers in Dubai — MagSafe 2, USB-C and MagSafe 3, free delivery
Overview

Original Apple MacBook chargers in Dubai

MacTech Pro is the place in Dubai to get a genuine, original Apple charger for your MacBook. We keep the full range of Apple power adapters in stock, for every MacBook, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro from 2015 right through to 2026, and we deliver them to you free of charge anywhere in Dubai. If your charger has been lost, the cable has frayed, the T-tip has cracked, or it has simply stopped working, we match your exact MacBook to the correct adapter and get it to you fast.

Two things matter most when you replace a MacBook charger, and we get both right. First, it has to be the right one: the correct wattage and the correct connector for your specific model, because a MacBook designed for an 85W MagSafe 2 will not charge properly from the wrong adapter. Second, it should be genuine. Every charger we supply is an original Apple power adapter, not a cheap copy, so your MacBook receives the exact voltage and current it was engineered for. Please note this page is about MacBook charger replacement in Dubai — supplying you a new original charger — rather than repairing a charging fault inside the laptop; if your MacBook will not charge even with a known-good charger, that points to the charging port or board instead, and we cover that separately.

Connectors

The three MacBook charger types

Since 2015, Apple has used three different charging connectors across its MacBooks, and they are not interchangeable. Knowing which one your MacBook uses is the first step to ordering the right charger, and the tables further down map every model to its exact adapter.

MagSafe 2 (the T-tip magnetic connector)

MagSafe 2 is the flat, magnetic “T-tip” connector used on the 2015 Intel MacBooks (and MacBook Airs up to 2017). It clicks on magnetically and pops off safely if the cable is tripped over. MagSafe 2 chargers are all-in-one units, the cable is attached to the adapter, and they come in three wattages: 45W for the MacBook Air, 60W for the 13-inch MacBook Pro, and 85W for the 15-inch MacBook Pro.

Which MacBooks use MagSafe 2

The 2015 MacBook Air 11-inch and 13-inch, the 2015 MacBook Pro 13-inch Retina, and the 2015 MacBook Pro 15-inch Retina, all use MagSafe 2 with a T-tip. If your charger has a slim magnetic tip shaped like a wide “T”, this is the family you need.

USB-C (the reversible oval connector)

From 2015 (on the 12-inch MacBook) and across the 2016–2020 Intel MacBook Pro and Air, Apple charged its laptops over USB-C. These chargers are a square adapter plus a separate, detachable USB-C charge cable, and they range from 29W and 30W on the smallest machines up to 61W, 87W and 96W on the larger MacBook Pro. The same USB-C port also carries data and video.

Which MacBooks use a USB-C charger

The 12-inch MacBook, the 2016–2020 MacBook Pro 13-inch and 15-inch, the 2019 MacBook Pro 16-inch, the 2018–2020 MacBook Air, and the first Apple Silicon 13-inch MacBook Pro (M1, M2) and MacBook Air (M1), all charge over USB-C with no MagSafe.

MagSafe 3 (the modern magnetic connector)

MagSafe 3 returned with the 2021 MacBook Pro and the Apple Silicon MacBook Air, combining the safety of a magnetic connector with fast charging. A MagSafe 3 charger is a USB-C power adapter plus a USB-C-to-MagSafe 3 cable, and it spans 30W and 35W on the MacBook Air up to the powerful 140W adapter (28V × 5A, USB-C PD 3.1) that fast-charges the 16-inch MacBook Pro. These MacBooks can also charge from their USB-C / Thunderbolt ports.

Which MacBooks use MagSafe 3

Every 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro from 2021 onward (M1 Pro/Max through M5), and every Apple Silicon MacBook Air from the M2 (2022) onward, uses MagSafe 3. The exact wattage depends on the chip, the tables below show each one.

Charger finder

Find your MacBook charger (2015–2026)

Find your MacBook below and you have its exact original Apple charger: the wattage, the connector, and the output in volts and amps. If your machine will not switch on, read the model number (the Axxxx) on the underside of the laptop and match that instead. Not sure? Send us the model and we will confirm the right charger before anything ships.

MagSafe 2 chargers (2015 Intel MacBooks, T-tip)

MacBook model (year)Model No.Original Apple chargerOutput
MacBook Air 11-inch (2015)A146545W MagSafe 2 Power Adapter · T-tip14.85V × 3.05A = 45W
MacBook Air 13-inch (2015 & 2017)A146645W MagSafe 2 Power Adapter · T-tip14.85V × 3.05A = 45W
MacBook Pro 13-inch Retina (2015)A150260W MagSafe 2 Power Adapter · T-tip16.5V × 3.65A = 60W
MacBook Pro 15-inch Retina (2015)A139885W MagSafe 2 Power Adapter · T-tip20V × 4.25A = 85W

All three MagSafe 2 adapters use the flat T-tip magnetic connector. The MacBook Pro 15-inch (2015, A1398) takes the 85W MagSafe 2 Power Adapter with its T-tip connector, rated 20V × 4.25A = 85W, exactly as Apple supplied it.

MacBook Pro 16-inch (2019, Intel)A214196W USB-C Power Adapter20.5V × 4.7A = 96W
MacBook Air 13-inch Retina (2018–2019)A193230W USB-C Power Adapter20V × 1.5A = 30W
MacBook Air 13-inch Retina (2020, Intel)A217930W USB-C Power Adapter20V × 1.5A = 30W
MacBook Air 13-inch (M1, 2020)A233730W USB-C Power Adapter20V × 1.5A = 30W
MacBook Pro 13-inch (M1, 2020)A233861W USB-C Power Adapter20.3V × 3.0A = 61W
MacBook Pro 13-inch (M2, 2022)A233867W USB-C Power Adapter20.3V × 3.3A = 67W

USB-C adapters pair with a detachable USB-C charge cable. You can use a higher-wattage USB-C adapter safely, a 96W will charge a machine that came with 61W, it simply will not charge any faster than the laptop allows.

MagSafe 3 adapters come with a USB-C-to-MagSafe 3 cable. On the 14-inch MacBook Pro the in-box wattage depends on the chip (70W for the base chip, 96W or 140W for the Pro and Max), while every 16-inch MacBook Pro uses the 140W adapter. Every MacBook Air in this group uses a 30W or 35W adapter.

Popular

Most-requested MacBook chargers in Dubai

Across Dubai, a handful of MacBook chargers come up again and again. Here are the ones we supply most, all genuine Apple and ready in stock.

85W MagSafe 2 (MacBook Pro 15-inch, 2015)

The 85W MagSafe 2 Power Adapter with its T-tip connector is the classic 15-inch MacBook Pro charger (A1398), rated 20V × 4.25A = 85W. It is still one of our most-requested chargers, because many of these dependable machines remain in daily use across the city.

61W and 96W USB-C (Intel and M1 / M2 MacBook Pro)

The 61W USB-C Power Adapter charges the 13-inch MacBook Pro from 2016 to 2020 and the M1 model, while the 96W USB-C Power Adapter is the charger for the 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro. Both pair with a detachable USB-C charge cable and are popular replacements when a cable wears out.

30W and 35W MagSafe 3 (MacBook Air)

Every Apple Silicon MacBook Air, from the M2 through the M5, charges with a 30W or 35W adapter over MagSafe 3. These compact chargers are among the most common we deliver, often to students and professionals who carry the Air everywhere.

96W and 140W MagSafe 3 (MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch)

The 96W and 140W MagSafe 3 adapters charge the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro from 2021 onward, with the 140W (28V × 5A) enabling fast charging on the 16-inch. As these powerful machines became popular, so did demand for their original chargers, which we keep on the shelf.

Wattage

Which wattage do you need?

A common worry when replacing a charger is getting the wattage wrong. Here is the simple rule, and why genuine Apple still matters.

Can I use a higher-wattage charger?

Yes, and it is completely safe. A MacBook only draws the power it needs, so a higher-wattage original Apple adapter, say a 96W on a machine that shipped with 70W, will charge perfectly and will not harm the battery. On USB-C and MagSafe 3 machines this is officially supported by Apple.

Can I use a lower-wattage charger?

It will usually still charge, but slowly, and it will not fast-charge. A lower-wattage adapter may also struggle to keep up while you are working hard, so the battery drains even while plugged in. For the best result, match or exceed the wattage your MacBook came with, which is exactly what we supply.

Fast charging

Fast charging (up to 50% in around 30 minutes) needs the right higher-wattage adapter and cable: 96W or more for the 14-inch MacBook Pro, and the 140W adapter with a USB-C-to-MagSafe 3 cable for the 16-inch MacBook Pro. We can supply the correct fast-charge combination for your model.

Why the connector still has to match

Wattage aside, the connector must be right: a MagSafe 2 machine cannot take a USB-C or MagSafe 3 plug, and vice versa. That is why we always match both the wattage and the connector to your exact model.

Genuine

Why original Apple chargers only

It is tempting to grab the cheapest MacBook charger online, but a charger is the one accessory where that gamble can be expensive, or dangerous. Here is why every charger we supply is genuine Apple.

The risks of cheap, non-genuine chargers

Safety and overheating

Low-quality copies often skip the safety circuitry inside a real Apple adapter. They can overheat, deliver unstable voltage, and in the worst cases damage your logic board or battery, a repair that costs far more than the charger ever saved.

Poor charging and early failure

Counterfeit adapters frequently fail to deliver their claimed wattage, so your MacBook charges slowly, intermittently, or not at all, and the cheap cables fray and die within months.

Why original Apple is worth it

A genuine Apple charger delivers the exact voltage and current your MacBook was designed for, supports the proper USB Power Delivery profiles and fast charging, lasts, and keeps your expensive laptop safe. Every adapter we supply is an original Apple power adapter, the same one Apple ships, which is why we are confident standing behind it.

Identify

How to find your model & charger

To get the right charger, we just need to know your MacBook. There are two easy ways to tell us.

Find your MacBook model number

Turn the laptop over: printed in small text on the underside is a model number beginning with A, such as A1398, A2485 or A3401. That single code identifies your exact MacBook and, from the tables above, its exact charger, even if the laptop will not switch on.

Or check About This Mac

If the MacBook powers on, click the Apple menu and choose About This Mac. It tells you the model and year (for example, “MacBook Pro 16-inch, 2021”) and the chip. Send us that, or the model number, and we will confirm the correct original Apple charger before it ships.

When to replace

Signs you need a new charger

How do you know it is the charger that needs replacing, and not something inside the MacBook? These are the signs that point to the charger itself.

Signs you need a new MacBook charger

Frayed, split or damaged cable

Apple cables can fray near the connector or the adapter with age. Once the inner wires show or the cable is split, the charger is unsafe and should be replaced, this is the most common reason our customers need a new one.

Cracked or loose T-tip / connector

On MagSafe chargers the magnetic tip can crack, bend or stop holding. If your T-tip or MagSafe 3 connector no longer clicks on cleanly or only charges at a certain angle, the cable or adapter has failed.

Charger is dead, hot, or has no light

If the adapter shows no light, gets unusually hot, or simply does nothing when plugged in, it has stopped working and needs replacing with a genuine unit.

Lost charger

The simplest case of all, the charger is gone, left behind or borrowed and never returned. We will match your model and send a genuine replacement.

When it is the MacBook, not the charger

If a known-good charger still will not charge the laptop, or charges only sometimes, the fault is more likely the charging port or the board inside the MacBook than the adapter. That is a repair rather than a charger swap, and our MacBook repair service covers charging-port and board-level faults. When in doubt, ask us, we will help you work out which it is.

How it works

Get your charger, step by step

Tell us your MacBook

Send us your MacBook model and year, or the model number (Axxxx) from the underside, by call or WhatsApp.

Your MacBook charges exactly as Apple intended, at full speed, with a genuine adapter you can trust.

Why MacTech Pro

Why bring it to MacTech Pro

  • We repair the board at component level, not just swap it. On the M1, M1 Pro and M1 Max, a single failed component is usually the whole fault. Repairing that part is cheaper than a board swap and keeps your storage and data intact.
  • Free, honest diagnosis and a fixed price first. You see the real fault and the real cost before any work. No fix, no fee.
  • Genuine or OEM-grade parts, fitted and tested. That matters more on these models, where the mini-LED display and large batteries are expensive to get wrong.
  • Work done by Dan's bench. Power-rail diagnosis and micro-soldering on Apple Silicon by one of Dubai's more experienced technicians, with 380+ reviews behind the shop.
  • Your data comes first. These are pro machines, and we treat the data on them as the priority on every board and liquid job.
  • Free pickup and delivery across Dubai, secure courier to the rest of the UAE, and a 3-month warranty on the repair.

FAQ

MacBook chargers — frequently asked questions

Yes. We supply genuine, original Apple power adapters for every MacBook, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro from 2015 to 2026, every wattage and connector, all kept in stock. They are the same adapters Apple ships, not cheap copies.

This is charger replacement and supply, we provide you a new, genuine Apple charger for your MacBook. It is not a repair. If your MacBook will not charge even with a known-good charger, that is a charging-port or board issue, which our MacBook repair service handles separately.

Yes. We deliver your charger free of charge anywhere in Dubai, often the same day. Just send us your model and address. You are also welcome to collect it from our Dubai Sports City service centre.

Every charger we supply is a genuine, original Apple power adapter. We do not sell cheap copies, because a counterfeit charger can overheat, deliver unstable voltage and damage your MacBook. Original Apple gives your laptop the exact power it was designed for.

The MacBook Pro 15-inch (2015, A1398) uses the 85W MagSafe 2 Power Adapter with a T-tip connector, rated 20V × 4.25A = 85W. We keep it in stock and can deliver it free across Dubai.

Every 16-inch MacBook Pro, from the 2019 Intel model through the M1, M2, M3, M4 and M5 versions, uses a high-wattage adapter: 96W USB-C on the 2019, and the 140W MagSafe 3 adapter (28V × 5A) on the Apple Silicon models, which also enables fast charging.

The Apple Silicon MacBook Air (M2, M3, M4 and M5) uses a 30W or 35W adapter over MagSafe 3, the 13-inch comes with 30W or 35W, and the 15-inch with 35W. All are in stock.

MagSafe 2 is the 2015 T-tip magnetic charger (45W/60W/85W). USB-C is the oval reversible plug used from 2015 to 2020 (29W–96W). MagSafe 3 is the modern magnetic charger on 2021-and-later MacBooks (30W–140W). They are not interchangeable, the connector must match your model.

Yes, it is safe. A MacBook only draws the power it needs, so a higher-wattage original Apple adapter will charge it perfectly and will not harm the battery, it may even fast-charge. The connector still has to match your model.

It will usually charge, but slowly, and it will not fast-charge. A lower-wattage adapter can also fail to keep up under heavy use. We recommend matching or exceeding the wattage your MacBook came with, which is what we supply.

A flat, magnetic T-shaped tip means MagSafe 2, used on the 2015 MacBooks. Tell us whether it is an Air or a Pro and the size, and we will confirm whether you need the 45W, 60W or 85W version.

Yes. USB-C adapters come with a detachable USB-C charge cable, and MagSafe 3 adapters come with a USB-C-to-MagSafe 3 cable. MagSafe 2 adapters have the cable permanently attached. We supply the complete charger.

Yes. The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro can charge from their USB-C / Thunderbolt ports as well as MagSafe 3. For the fastest charging on the 16-inch, though, you need the 140W adapter with a MagSafe 3 (or Thunderbolt 5) cable.

Almost certainly, yes. We carry the full range of original Apple MacBook chargers, every connector and every wattage from 29W to 140W, in stock and ready to deliver. Send us your model and we will confirm immediately.

Often same-day. Once you confirm your model and address, we dispatch your genuine Apple charger free of charge anywhere in Dubai. If you need it urgently, let us know and we will prioritise it.

Yes. The charger depends only on the MacBook model, not where it was bought. Tell us the model or model number and we will supply the correct original Apple adapter, with the right plug for the UAE.

Turn the laptop over, the model number begins with A (for example A1398 or A2485) and is printed in small text on the underside. It identifies your exact MacBook, and its charger, even if the laptop will not power on. About This Mac also shows your model and year.

Because a cheap, non-genuine charger can overheat, deliver unstable power and damage your MacBook’s board or battery, costing far more than it saved, and they often fail within months. A genuine Apple adapter is safe, reliable and gives full, fast charging.

Yes. Because we supply genuine Apple adapters, they carry Apple’s standard quality, and we stand behind every charger we sell. If anything is wrong with it, contact us and we will sort it out.

Just send us your MacBook model, year, or the model number from the underside, and we will tell you exactly which original Apple charger you need, by wattage and connector, before anything ships. No guesswork.

At MacTech Pro, Stadium Point Building, Office 311, Dubai Sports City. You can collect your charger here, or we will deliver it to you free of charge anywhere in Dubai.

Then the issue is likely the charging port or the logic board inside the MacBook, not the adapter. That needs a repair rather than a charger, and our MacBook repair service covers charging-port and board-level faults. Bring it in for a free diagnostic.

The 12-inch MacBook (A1534) uses a small USB-C adapter: 29W on the 2015 model and 30W on the 2016 and 2017 models. Both are in stock, and a 30W works fine in place of the 29W.

It depends on the year. The 2016–2020 Intel and M1 13-inch MacBook Pro use a 61W USB-C adapter (20.3V × 3.0A), and the M2 (2022) uses a 67W USB-C adapter (20.3V × 3.3A). Send us the year or model number and we will confirm.
