MacBook Pro 14-inch M4 (2024, A3112) Screen Replacement in Dubai AED 1580, All-Inclusive

The A3112 is the first 14 inch MacBook Pro you could buy with a plain M4 chip, and it arrived in November 2024 with a display that's better than it looks on paper.

Everyday content, the stuff you see in Safari, Mail and Excel, now runs at up to 1000 nits. Earlier 14 inch panels stopped at 500 or 600 for normal use and only reached 1000 when playing HDR. This one gives you 1000 nits in daylight, outdoors, on a balcony in Dubai at noon. If you've used it that way, you'll have noticed.

Apple also offered this display with a nano-texture finish for the first time on a 14 inch, and put a 12MP Center Stage camera in the notch.

For us, that means two things. The replacement panel has to be the 2024 part, not an older 14 inch XDR panel that happens to fit. And if your laptop has the nano-texture option, the panel is different again. More on both below.

Nano-texture is an etched glass finish that cuts reflections. It was a paid option at purchase, so most A3112 units have the standard glossy glass, but some don't.

You can tell by looking. A standard display reflects a light source clearly, like a mirror. A nano-texture display spreads it into a soft haze. If yours is nano-texture, tell us when you book. The panel is a separate part and we'll confirm price and availability before you send the laptop, rather than surprising you at collection.

The rest of this page assumes the standard glossy display, which is what 1580 AED covers.

The brightness change means our test on this model is different from older 14 inch Pros.

Outdoor brightness. With the laptop on mains power and the brightness slider at maximum, an SDR image should reach 1000 nits. We measure it. A panel that stops at 600 is an older part or a substandard one, and it doesn't leave the shop.

HDR peak. We play HDR content and confirm the panel hits 1600 nits on highlights.

Local dimming. A black field with small bright shapes moving across it, watched closely for zones that stay dark, stay lit or flicker at low brightness.

ProMotion. Refresh rate switching from 24Hz on video to 120Hz when scrolling, plus the fixed rates selectable in settings.

Colour. A white field at several brightness levels, checked for tint and dark corners.

One thing we'll say now so it doesn't surprise you later: a faint glow around a bright object on a black background is normal for mini-LED. It's called blooming, the panel that came with the laptop did it, and it isn't a fault.

Apple's repair on this model replaces the whole display assembly. Lid, hinges, cables, antenna, the 12MP camera and the panel as one unit. Some shops do the same. Most of what gets thrown away was working.

We fit a new panel inside your existing lid. Your camera stays in the notch. Your hinges stay. It's more skilled work, it takes a couple of hours rather than a few minutes, and it's why the price is 1580 rather than the price of a new lid.

If the lid is bent from a drop and a panel won't sit flat, we'll say so before we start.

Works. The calibration is stored on the panel, so we transfer it during the repair. If a shop skips that step, the True Tone toggle disappears from System Settings. Ours doesn't.

If you'd like to sit with the macbook while it's done, you're welcome to. Some customers do it because they've been burnt by another shop and want to see the original part go in. Some just find it interesting. Either is fine.

You get three months warranty on the panel and the work. Dead pixels, lines, a failed dimming zone, flicker, backlight faults, the display lifting at an edge. Not covered: new damage, or blooming, which is normal.

Apple's one year warranty on a late 2024 laptop will have run out on most A3112 units by now. Even while active, it never covered a cracked or pressure damaged screen. That's AppleCare+ territory. If you have AppleCare+, go to Apple first. If not, Apple's out of warranty quote is for a full assembly replacement and priced accordingly. It changes, so we don't list it, but compare it against 1580 before choosing.
