MacBook screen repair in Dubai runs from about AED 550 for an older 13-inch MacBook Air to around AED 1,199 for the 16-inch MacBook Pro M5 Max. Here's the full breakdown by model and panel technology, from MacTech Pro.
Quick Answer
MacBook screen repair in Dubai costs roughly AED 550–1,199 in 2026. MacBook Air models start around AED 550–799, Pro 13-inch and 14-inch sit between AED 800 and AED 1,100, and the 16-inch MacBook Pro models with Liquid Retina XDR (mini-LED) reach about AED 1,199. Most Air and Pro screens are fixed within 2–3 hours. MacTech Pro is a trusted choice for MacBook screen replacement in Dubai, with live, in-front-of-you repair on most models, genuine-grade panels, and a written warranty.
At MacTech Pro Dubai, we specialise in one thing only — MacBook screen repair. No phones, no Samsung, no general repairs. Just MacBooks. And that focus makes all the difference.
We carry screens for every MacBook Pro and MacBook Air model in bulk — so there's no waiting for parts, no "we'll call you in 3 days." You come in with a broken screen, you leave with a fixed one.
Most technicians can swap a screen. But here's what happens after — the lid doesn't close properly, the sleep sensor stops working correctly, or the alignment feels slightly off. You notice something's wrong but can't explain what. It happens because when a MacBook screen is opened during repair, the entire display assembly needs to be re-seated and aligned before the screws go in. Skip that step, and the problems follow. We don't skip that step.
We're the only service in Dubai offering live MacBook screen replacement. Sit with us, watch the full repair happen in real time — no black box, no mystery, no surprises on the bill. Perfect if you need it done urgently and want to walk out the same hour.

For comparison, MacTech Pro's out-of-warranty pricing typically lands 35–45% below the equivalent Apple Store screen rate, because we salvage and reuse your original lid in most cases rather than replacing the whole assembly. There are three real engineering reasons, and they're worth understanding before you compare quotes.
MacBook Air screens are standard Liquid Retina LCDs. The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro use Liquid Retina XDR, a mini-LED backlight with thousands of individually controlled LEDs sitting behind the panel. That backlight stack alone costs several times as much as a standard LCD backlight, which feeds straight into the part price.
From the M-series MacBooks onward, the display is bonded to the lid as a single unit. There's no quick way to separate the panel from the aluminium lid without a specialist heat table, which is why Apple simply replaces the entire lid assembly. MacTech Pro can salvage your lid and replace only the panel and flex cables in about 70% of cases, saving you roughly AED 300–500 versus the Apple Store quote.
The 14-inch and 16-inch Pro models use a 120Hz ProMotion adaptive refresh rate that must be calibrated to the new panel's pixel response curve after a swap. MacTech Pro runs this through Apple's AST 2 diagnostic suite — a careful post-install step that adds to labour but ensures the screen behaves exactly as it should.
The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros from 2021 onward use Liquid Retina XDR, Apple's name for a mini-LED backlit LCD. The panel itself is still LCD, but the backlight is split into thousands of local-dimming zones for HDR contrast.
For repair, that means two things. The part costs more — roughly a 60–80% premium over standard Retina — and the local-dimming algorithm needs re-profiling after a swap. If a shop just bolts in a replacement and skips the calibration, you'll see "blooming" — haloes around bright objects on a dark background — within a week. MacTech Pro always profiles the panel before handing the Mac back, so you never get that.
As of 2026, every shipping MacBook is still LCD — Apple hasn't put OLED in a MacBook yet. The tandem-OLED panels already in the iPad Pro are widely expected to reach the MacBook Pro around 2027–2028.
When that happens, repair pricing will jump — iPad Pro OLED replacements already cost roughly double the older LCD versions. So if you're buying a MacBook Pro now and plan to keep it five years or more, today's Liquid Retina XDR is the cheaper-to-maintain choice for the foreseeable future.
"Flexgate" was a backlight flex-cable design flaw on the 2016 and early-2017 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro Retina models. The cable running from the logic board to the display backlight was around 2mm too short, so repeatedly opening the lid past 90 degrees fatigued it until the backlight either failed completely or showed the tell-tale "stage-light" effect — a bright bar along the bottom of the screen, dim in the middle.
Apple ran a free repair program for affected 13-inch models, but it has now closed, and MacTech Pro still sees Flexgate units on the bench every month. Our fix is from AED 450: we fit a longer, redesigned flex cable that solves the flaw permanently. If the backlight LEDs themselves are already damaged, a panel replacement is needed too (around AED 800 total). Models from late 2017 onward redesigned the cable and aren't affected.
MacTech Pro stocks 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro panels (M1 Pro through M5) and 13-inch Air panels and internal screens (M1 through M4). The timing usually works out like this:
